Browns LB Anthony Walker Suffers Season-Ending Injury

Browns linebacker Anthony Walker had an MRI after being carted off with a leg injury in their Thursday Night Football win. It revealed that Walker has a torn quad that will likely end his 2022 season. The recovery time is a reported five to seven months.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the news via Twitter on Friday.

Walker was originally drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Northwestern. He played in Indianapolis for four seasons before signing a one-year contract with the Browns in 2021. He signed another one-year deal ahead of the 2022 season.

In 66 career games (57 starts), Walker has 428 combined tackles, 4.5 sacks, three interceptions and one forced fumbles. Last season, he played and started in just nine games for the Browns, racking up 57 tackles and a sack.
