Clash Royale Balance Update Patch Notes For Today (August 2)

image

Clash Royale receives its latest balance update today as the month of August has already started with a brand new season.

In this month’s balance changes, Supercell has mostly applied new buffs to already nerfed cards to make the a little bit more effective than before again. Probably the worst news is the new Mega Knight buff for those who were already struggling to counter this giant fighter.

Supercell has decreased the delay in Mega Knight’s jump, which makes him a little bit faster in moving toward the target before the enemy could change his direction with a new troop or target rather than the Crown Tower.

On the other hand, Prince and Ram Rider will both enter the charging state faster than before. This means they will start to run after walking for 3 tiles rather than 3.5 tiles.

Executioner and Ice Golem are the other buffed cards, as the former gets a longer projectile range and the latter receives a longer-lasting freezing effect on enemies after dying.

Golden Knight, Fire Spirit, Fireball, Electro Giant, and Skeleton King are the cards that will get a nerf in the new patch. You can read through the details of the changes for each card down below:

Prince

  • Charging State: Faster (3.5 tiles -> 3 tiles)

Ram Rider

  • Charging State: Faster (3.5 tiles -> 3 tiles)

Mega Knight

  • Jump Delay: Faster (1.1s -> 0.9s)

Executioner

  • Projectile Range: (6.5 tiles -> 7.5 tiles)

Ice Golem

  • After Death Slow Effect: (+0.5s)

Golden Knight

  • Hitpoints: (-10%)

Skeleton King

  • Soul Summoning Ability: (Max. Skeleton count 18 -> 16)

Electro Giant

  • Reflected Damage to Crown Towers: (-33%)

Fireball

  • Pushback: (1.8 tile -> 1 tile)

Fire Spirit

  • Damage: (-9%)

Elixir Golem

  • Each Golem part now gives Elixir
  • Golem Hitpoints: (+9%)
  • Golemites Hitpoints: (+6%)

The Elixir from Elixir Golem will now be granted as the following:

  • Golem: +1 Elixir
  • Golemites: +0.5 Elixir each (+1 total)
  • Blobs: +0.5 Elixir each (+2 total)

Elixir Golem has received a mixture of buffs and nerfs, but to be honest, it will probably start to disappear from the decks as the it costs 3 Elixir for the attacker, while the defender who eliminates it will gain up to 4 Elixir unless you have a very unique and smart strategy for it.
