CoD MW3 Rebirth Island Experiences Solar Eclipse In-Game

You can now experience the Solar Ecplise in Call of Duty on the map Rebirth Island.

Activision has been on the grind of adding more and more content to their latest game in the CoD franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Recently, tons of events and game modes have been updated in the game alongside numerous other items that have massively helped in maintaining the player count.

However, the developers have recently added an interesting reference in Warzone that has amazed lots of players. Since the solar eclipse is happening in the real world, Activision added a random event on Rebirth Island where you can see the same phenomena in-game.

So let’s dive deeper into this occurrence and how it looks in the game.

Players can now experience the scientific event, the solar eclipse in Call of Duty, specifically on the map of Rebirth Island. This was recently added to the game by the developers and players have already seen it happen while playing. Players on various social media sites like X/Twitter have already posted clips of the event.

What is a Solar Eclipse

A solar eclipse is an event that occurs every once in a while where the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun. The Moon perfectly covers the Sun and this causes the light from the Sun to be completely blocked.

So from the Earth, you can physically see the Sun covered by another dark sphere which is the Moon, in the middle of the day. The day becomes dark for some time and after the Moon moves away light begins to shine through again.

The Eclipse on Rebirth Island

Players have seen a similar event occur while playing Warzone on Rebirth Island. The Sun gets blocked by the Moon and a massive shadow is cast all over the map. This allows people playing the game to experience the phenomena.

Since the actual Solar Eclipse occurs at different times for the whole world, there is no specific time for players to be able to see it in-game. There is no official information that says how long this random event will be active in the game or if it is even random at all. However, there is no denying that this is quite a majestic view to stumble upon while battling for your survival.
