Collin Johnson Suffers Torn ACL in Practice

Giants wide receiver Collin Johnson has reportedly suffered a season-ending injury. During practice on Wednesday, he was carted off with what is feared to be an ACL injury, the worst of which would be a full ACL tear.

PFF’s Ari Meirov reported the news via Twitter on Wednesday.

Johnson was drafted out of the University of Texas by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played the 2020 season with the team before being waived by the Jaguars, allowing the Giants to claim him on waivers.

In 2021, Johnson played in 12 games, starting just one. He hauled in 11 receptions for 105 yards and zero touchdowns. This was a fall-off from his 2020 season with the Jags, in which he had 272 yards and two touchdowns.
