Cyberpunk 2077: Best perks for Blade weapons

Cyberpunk 2077: Best perks for Blade weapons

The 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 has brought an entirely new progression system to the game. And with that, you’re going to have to completely rethink how your build works. There are massive changes to the melee combat that might make your approach in the previous version of Cyberpunk 2077 null and void. So, here are the best perks to unlock for Blade weapons in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077: Best Blades perks

The vast majority of the perks you’ll need for Blades will come from the Reflexes skill tree. This tree houses almost all the Blade perks you need to grab to make your Katana skills even deadlier. Starting off with some basic abilities, you’ll want both Dash and Air Dash as soon as possible. These perks will massively help you cover distance in a battle. You should also get each complimentary skill around the Dash perks as well since they’re all useful.

Best offensive perks

As for offensive Blade perks in Cyberpunk 2077, you’ve got a lot to choose from. But the ones I’d recommend starting with are Seeing Double and Flash and Thunderclap. Seeing Double increases your damage with counterattacks, and Flash and Thunderclap lets you leap at enemies with strong attacks. These perks reward both patience and tenacious play, both of which you’ll be utilizing with Blades. You should also unlock Bladerunner as soon as possible as it unlocks the Blades melee finisher ability.

Best Defensive perks

Blades are fast-attacking weapons in Cyberpunk 2077, but since you’ll be out in the open a lot, having a good defense is extremely important. One of the best perks to get for this purpose is Bullet Deflect. Not only does this stop bullets from hitting V, but it will also redirect those same bullets back to your enemies. And that’s just a really cool thing to have. But for other defensive abilities, you need to look over to the Body skill tree.

In this tree, you can get a bunch of perks that increase your health and damage. And since this is a playstyle that is innately risky, having more health is extremely important. Nothing kills cool sword battles more than, well, dying. So invest points into the Adrenaline Rush perk for more health and access to the Adrenaline Rush mode. You can then invest points into all the surrounding perks too. Pain to Gain is especially good since it lets you recharge 20% of your health every time you kill an enemy during Adrenaline Rush.

Of course, specializing in Blade weapons perks isn’t the only way to build out V in Cyberpunk 2077. In fact, there are dozens of possible builds you could make. For example, this Walking Arsenal build can make your version of V a force to be reckoned with.
