Dalvin Cook to Sign with Jets on 1-Year Deal

Former Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook has found a new team after being released from the only team for which he’s played in June of 2023. Cook is reportedly signing a one-year, $8.6 million deal with the Jets.

The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the news via Twitter on Monday.

Cook was drafted 41st overall in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. He played there for six seasons before being released by the team, much like many other above-the-line running backs in this NFL offseason.

In 2022-2023, Cook played and started in all 17 games, rushing 264 times for for 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns. He also added 39 catches for 295 yards and two more scores through the air. Cook has made four Pro Bowls in his career so far.
