Dan Snyder, NFL Being Sued by D.C. Attorney General

Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder, the NFL and Roger Goodell are all being sued by the Washington D.C. Attorney General’s office. This lawsuit is for “colluding to deceive District residents… about a toxic workplace culture.”

Attorney General Karl A. Racine tweeted about the lawsuit on Thursday.

Snyder has been under fire for many things during his tenure, including fostering a workplace that included sexual harassment, misconduct and misogyny. It is unclear how long the lawsuit will drag out, or what exactly the Commanders and Snyder will have to do if found guilty.

Last week, news became public that Snyder was “exploring options” to sell the team. Around that same time, the Attorney General’s office announced they were looking into the Commanders and considering a suit. Snyder’s sudden willingness to sell the team might have to do with this lawsuit.
