Deep Rock Galactic Survivor is the latest shoot ’em’ up auto shooter game developed by Funday Games. It is a spin-off of the beloved first-person shooter (FPS) game, Deep Rock Galactic. The key to success and survival in the unknown world of Deep Rock Galactic Survivor depends heavily on choosing the right damage type to suit your playstyle. However, not all the damage types in the game are good.

Deep Rock Galactic Survivor Damage Type Tier List

Currently, there are five different damage types in the game including Cold/Cryo Damage, Fire Damage, Plasma Damage, Electric Damage and Acid Damage. All of these damage types have their own unique effect on the enemy, which is precisely why you need to grasp their concept properly. If you grasp their powers properly, you will be able to use them to their maximum potential. Hence, here is our Deep Rock Galactic Survivor Damage Type Tier List, ranked from Tier S to Tier B:

Tier S

Here are all of the damage types ranked in Tier S:

• Plasma Damage: This affects the enemy by dealing damage through fired projectiles that bounce off the walls and enemies alike. It is amazing and versatile because you can easily take down a horde of alien bugs with the Plasma bouncing off them and the surface around you constantly. This makes it the sole S Tier rank damage type in our Deep Rock Galactic Survivor Damage Type Tier List.

Tier A

Here are all of the damage types ranked in Tier A:

• Electric Damage: This affects the enemy by releasing electrical energy that bursts and spreads through the enemies and damages everyone in the vicinity. Just like Plasma, Electric is also amazing for taking down a swarm because it spreads rapidly, which boosts the critical damage rate by a huge margin with low effort.
  
  

  

• Acid Damage: This affects the enemy by applying an “Acid Damage” debuff to them that makes them take more damage when hit. It works almost like a weakening debuff and damage booster at the same time, that you can pair with powerful weapons in the game. However, unlike Plasma and Electric, Acid damage is better for targeting smaller hordes and singular enemies like Elite Bosses.

Tier B

Here are all of the damage types ranked in Tier B:

• Cold/Cryo Damage: This affects the enemy by slowing them down with Cryo or Cold damage and makes them freeze or stuns them momentarily. This is great for slowing down swarms of alien critters and pairing the damage with powerful weapons in the game to slowly hack through the rounds. However, this makes it a rather useless and bad damage type, because it lacks luster compared to the others so far.
  
  

  

• Fire Damage: This affects the enemy by inflicting them with a Burning effect that deals more damage over time. This is perhaps the worst damage type in the game because it is just not worth wasting a slot on. Just like Cold or Cryo, Fire is good for slowing down swarms of alien critters with more damage being dealt over time and pairing the damage with powerful weapons in the game. However, this makes it the worst damage type in the game because taking down swarms as quickly as possible is the goal, which this damage type does not aid with, at all.
