Does Hogwarts Legacy Have a Morality System?

Hogwarts Legacy will enter its early access period on Feb. 7, with its global release scheduled for Feb. 10. As we approach the release date, fans are wondering what to expect from the upcoming RPG, like does it have a morality system?

With Hogwarts Legacy set to release on the horizon for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, fan excitement is building. Warner Bros. Games have been steadily releasing snippets of gameplay on social media, giving prospective players a glimpse at the locations, characters, spells and more that they’ll get to experience on release day.

Players will get to customize their witch or wizard, visit locations outside of Hogwarts and tame and mount a variety of magical creatures. But as a huge RPG, it raises the question of just how much role playing takes place. Can you be good or evil or can you make choices that effect the world?

According to the official FAQs, Hogwarts Legacy does not have a morality system. Those looking for something akin to Fallout or Fable might be somewhat disappointed. Instead, players will encounter various quests and storylines that will influence the witch or wizard they choose to become.

In addition, players will be able to build relationships with certain students at Hogwarts. As players grow these relationships, these students can become companions, expanding their abilities and allowing players to learn their stories.

Hogwarts Legacy launches on Feb. 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game launches on April 4 for PS4 and Xbox One, then July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
