ESL Open #218: Solar, Reynor, Dark win

Week #218 of the Open Cups gave us a rare Zerg sweep as Solar, Reynor, and Dark took the three server cups.

The official competitions began with Solar going on a near-perfect run on the Korean server, beating Classic, GuMiho, and ByuN in the final three rounds, ByuN was the only player to take a map off of Solar, winning a single game in the finals.

Moving on to the European server, Reynor busted the Open Cup duopoly of Clem & MaxPax, beating both players on his way to the weekly championship.

Interestingly enough, both Clem and MaxPax declined to participate in their usual stomping grounds of the NA server cup, which made this the first week since December of 2023 (week #206) where neither of them won a single cup. Dark ended up being the one to capitalize on the absence of these two perennial contenders, beating PartinG, Future, and ByuN on his way to the weekly title.
