Both Estoril Praia and Santa Clara will be looking to return to winning ways when they lock horns for their 12th Primeira Liga round at the Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota on Monday night with kickoff at 23:15.
Estoril Praia have a made an impressive and strong start to their life back in the Portugal top-tier as the team has just lost one of their 11 matches so far, picking up five wins and five draws in the process. They currently occupy the fourth spot in the Primeira Liga standings level on 20 points with fifth-placed Portimonense who have an inferior goal difference and nine points behind the big three; Sporting Lisbon, Porto and Benfica.

However, Bruno Pinheiro’s side is coming off 1-1 back-to-back draws in the Primeira Liga against Benfica and Vizela respectively and thus Estoril will be looking to return to winning ways in this fixture as they aim at keeping their top four spot.
Meanwhile Santa Clara have made a poor and disappointing campaign this season as the club has only managed to record one victory in their 11 matches, picking up just three draws while suffering seven defeats in the process. Santa are currently rooted at the bottom of the table with just six points to their name, but just three adrift off safety.
Santa Clara head into the game in a poor form as they have just won two of their last six matches across all competitions, while registering four defeats in the run. They are coming off a humbling 6-0 defeat at the hands of Braga in the Taca de Portugal which saw their cup dreams come to an end last Saturday.
Prior to the Taca de Portugal defeat Santa Clara are coming off three back-to-back defeats in the Primeira Liga against Porto, Belenenses and Famalicao. However, Nuno Campo’s side will feel confident of ending this dire run and turning their fortunes around in this fixture as they are unbeaten in eight of their last nine encounters with Estoril, claiming three wins and five draws in the run.
