Two sides in the bottom half of the Ireland Premier table will go head to head on Friday, as University College Dublin continues to try and push themselves out of the bottom place as the host Shelbourne.

The visitors ended up with a game off last weekend due to a postponement, and will now be looking to get straight back into action with full force.

University College Dublin have endured a tough season so far, but during their last game they were able to bring an end to their six-game winless streak.

The Students pulled out a rare victory, which was only their second of the entire campaign when they made the trip to Sligo Rovers, as they continue to fight for survival.

Andrew Myler’s side now return home for their latest encounter, but it is in front of their own fans where they have struggled the most, as they have not won a single match at the UCD Bowl in the league this season.

After their scheduled game last week against Shamrock Rovers was postponed, Shelbourne have not played since July 8 when they picked up a 3-1 win over Finn Harps, which is a result they will be hoping to repeat this time around.
