Viborg vs B36 Torshavn Match Analysis and Prediction

Both Viborg and B36 Torshavn will be looking to get a step closer to the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage when they clash in the first leg of their third qualifying round tie on Wednesday night.

Viborg began their Europa Conference League qualification campaign in the second round, knocking out Suduva Marijampole 2-0 on aggregate and will want to go through to main competition after clash with Torshavn over two legs.

They are coming off 4-2 win against Copenhagen in their third Superligaen Matchday, marking their second league win after opening with 2-1 win against Aalborg and suffering a 3-1 defeat to Aarhus in the second match.

The Dens are therefore in a good form having only lost just one of their last 11 games across all competitions and stretching back into last season, winning seven while drawing three in the process.  They are also unbeaten in their last 10 matches at home, winning the last four in a row and should be confident of extending the run on Wednesday.

Meanwhile B36 Torshavn began their Europa Conference League qualification campaign in the first round seeing out Banja Luka 4-3 on penalties after a 4-4draw on aggregate before knocking out Tre Fiori 1-0 on aggregate in the second round.

They postponed their domestic league to focus on the European football and thus have not been in action since their previous qualifying round, but are coming off a draw and back-to-back victories – a run they will be keen to extend as they seek to move a step closer making it to the Conference League proper.

But the Faroe Islands outfits have a bigger fish to fry on Wednesday and will need to be on top of their game to stay in match before the return leg at home.
