Eternal Fire, Outsiders through to ESL Pro League group stage

Following Friday’s qualification to the ESL Pro League group stage by Endpoint and MIBR, Eternal Fire and Outsiders have added their names to the list of teams that will be at ESL’s flagship league after the summer break.

Eternal Fire’s 2-0 victory over HUMMER and Outsiders beating Falcons, also in two maps, put an end to the Conference’s upper bracket, leaving only the two spots from the lower bracket left up for grabs.

Before today’s victories, Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş and company had taken down FTW in their opener, while the new look Outsiders with David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan and Petr “fame” Bolyshev had beaten Illuminar.

XANTARES ended ESL Conference with a 1.45 rating

Eternal Fire, who had a positive showing at the RMRs and qualified for the PGL Major in Antwerp earlier this season, will therefore continue to make it to top tier events with a showing in ESL’s top league, while Outsiders made a statement with their new players, although it was Evgenii “FL1T” Lebedev with a 1.50 rating who made a splash at Conference.

The lower-bracket is currently comprised of eight teams, with TYLOO and Illuminar facing off on Saturday at 19:30 , ahead of the remaining three matches scheduled for Sunday, which pit Falcons vs. cowana, HEET vs. HUMMER and ORDER vs. FTW. The last two series will then be played on Monday for the final two spots at ESL Pro League.
