Euro 2024 Will Kick Off As a Free Update in EA Sports FC 24 Next Year

Despite the well-documented fallout between football’s governing body FIFA and publisher EA Sports, the company has partnered once again with UEFA to add the upcoming flagship international tournament Euro 2024 to EA Sports FC 24. The event, which will take place in Germany next year, will be added as a free update in the summer.

Furthermore, those who play the game before 16th January will be eligible for an exclusive, untradeable Ultimate Team item, with players including Jack Grealish, Ousmane Dembélé, Federico Chiesa, Florian Wirtz, Virgil Van Djik, and Alvaro Morata. These will be distributed starting 18th December.

There’s no further information available at this time, but it’s safe to assume the Euro 2024 update will include a full single player tournament mode, with teams, kits, and authentic branding from the competition. While it’s unlikely future editions of EA Sports FC 24 will include the World Cup, this announcement is yet more proof that EA Sports is losing very little by cancelling its alliance with FIFA.
