Every Modern Warfare 3 Verdansk POI in the Reveal Trailer

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Shadow Siege event went live Aug. 17 in Warzone 2 culminating in the premiere of the gameplay reveal trailer.

The event was met with a mixed response from the community compared to other live events Activision has done in the battle royale game. Still, it’s that time of the year in that infamous Call of Duty cycle where players get excited for a new game. The trailer, to be fair, featured a harrowing cover of Blue Oyster Cult’s Don’t Fear the Reaper (sans cowbell) and certainly set a grim tone for the game’s campaign.

Part of what’s got players excited are all the Verdansk images shown throughout the trailer. Here are all the Verdansk POIs shown in the recent MWIII trailer.

There’s been no confirmation that Verdansk will return to Warzone in any extent next game cycle, though the map is in Warzone Mobile. Playing through some iconic battle royale locations in the campaign would be a fun touch, but it seems like it stops there for now. There’s some continued hints that there will be some sort of No Russian recreation with Verdansk’s Stadium. There’s a voice line in the trailer while Captain Price and company enter the stadium: “They’re killing civilians!” Plus, the scene at the end with an apparent plane hijacking.

Whether there’s false hope or expectations getting unreasonably propped up, it seems Verdansk will play some part in the game’s story.

Unfortunately, no. There’s no confirmation one way or another that Verdansk is coming back to Warzone. Developers could be planning something major, but there’s been no leaks or rumors. It seems Verdansk is just part of the campaign.

No, as of writing the only 6-v-6 multiplayer maps at launch for Modern Warfare III will be the 16 remastered Modern Warfare 2 (2009) maps. A nice touch in celebration of 20 years of the franchise, but some have complained that these are just recycled, remastered maps with nothing new or innovative.
