Everything Unvaulted and Vaulted in Fortnite C5 S2

Everything Unvaulted and Vaulted in Fortnite C5 S2

The new season is here, you’ll need to know everything vaulted in Fortnite C5 S2 unless you want to chase ghosts while looting.

The new Fortnite season is one of our biggest changes we’ve seen to date. The full Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 patch notes contain tons of new items. What about changes to the existing loot pool though?

Every season Epic vaults and unvaults items just as much as they add new ones. The game can’t keep every weapon forever, or the loot pool would get way too crowded.

If you want to optimize your looting this season, you need to know how the loot pool works. That means knowing what’s been vaulted and unvaulted in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. Otherwise, you could spend time searching out guns that no longer exist.

We’ve scoured the loot pool of Fortnite C5 S2 items and have a full list of the items that have been removed and brought back.

Everything Vaulted in Fortnite C5 S2

Crash Pad Fortnite Jr

The last season of Fortnite collected quite a large pool of weapons. There was more than we really needed. Looking through everything vaulted in Fortnite C5 S2, it shows how cluttered it had gotten.

These are all of the items which have been removed.

  • Crash Pad Jr
  • Grapple Blade
  • Ballistic shield
  • EMP Stealth Camo
  • Cardboard Box
  • Lock on Pistol
  • Hyper SMG
  • Striker AR
  • Enforcer AR
  • Anvil Rocket Launcher
  • Bananas
  • Snowball launcher
  • S1 Mythics
  • Medallions
  • Pizza Party

Some of these were kind of overdue! There are obvious inclusions like the Season 1 Mythics. Ditching every Assault Rifle was surprising though.

Items that have been around for a while weren’t expected to leave. A few have been cut though. Bananas specifically are kind of weird. It’s possible they have a bad interaction with some of the new items. Maybe it’s just to make the island more in keeping with the season’s theme.

Most of the guns vaulted in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 make sense to leave given our new items though. Others like the Crash Pad Jr never really found a niche in the first place. Some of the best Fortnite weapons have stuck around though, like the sniper.

It’s not just guns unvaulted and vaulted in Fortnite C5 S2. There are a few items that have stuck around. These include some of the best Fortnite weapons in c5 so far.

These are all of the returning Fortnite C5 S2 items.

  • Hammer Pump Shotgun
  • Frenzy Auto Shotgun
  • Nemesis AR
  • Thunder Burst SMG
  • Reaper Sniper Rifle
  • Ranger Pistol

Some of these picks might not please everyone! The dominance of Snipers was noticeable last season and they’ve stuck around in the same Reaper form.

While this gun is staying, we are getting a new DMR and other items. These should be better at competing with the Sniper and balancing out gameplay a bit more.

Was Anything Unvaulted in Fortnite C5 S2?

Chugs - Unvaulted and Vaulted in Fortnite C5 S2

Usually, when we’re running through the vaulted in Fortnite C5 S2 or any other season’s list, there are a good few items unvaulted too. Older weapons that have returned with a fresh coat of paint. That’s one of the main ways where Chapter 5 Season 2 is different from previous years. We’ve only gotten a couple of very small items unvaulted.

These are the items that have been brought back.

  • Chug Splashes

It’s not a lot. There are no real weapons that have come back. However, a few of the newer weapons are pretty close to what we’ve had before. The new shotgun, AR, and DMR are all fairly close to similarly named items that we’ve had in the past.

Each of them has enough new to make them unique. It’s fun to have a season with no major unvaulted items. Although, we do have a lot of the core loot pool sticking around from last season too.
