Fantasy Football Week 16 Quarterback Rankings

Fantasy Football Week 16 Quarterback Rankings

The 2023-24 NFL season has been outstanding so far. Already there have been a ton of breakout players and fantasy duds that have made the game so entertaining. Bye weeks are officially over. This means that playoffs have begun in your fantasy leagues. During the playoffs Fantasy Managers will have full utilization of their roster and need to make sure they have backup options on their roster incase their stars get hurt. There have plenty of injuries this season to crucial players that make the pool of players to choose from on waivers that much thinner. It’s always a great idea to evaluate backup options so that way fantasy managers are prepared if star players miss time. Here are the fantasy football week 16 quarterback rankings.

[Ratings are subject to change due to injury reports or possible move to Injured Reserve List]

[Check out the section below for details on players already rumored to possibly miss this week and how their replacement options rank for the week]

Key:

Must Start- a player who should definitely be in your lineup that week because of the combination of matchup and talent. They will likely finish near the top of the league in points that week and could repeat the production most weeks.

Starter- a player who makes fantasy owners comfortable starting week after week. Regardless of the matchup, this player has a high floor.

Low-End Starter- a player who should be started in most lineups but can possibly bottom out and finish below average on a given week. A high ceiling play in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.

Streamer- a player who could be a perfect replacement for a starter for a week or two. Starting this player may not win you your lineup but they will make sure that your production out of that position will not lose you your matchup either. Also a viable option in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.

Deep League Streamer- a player who could fill a void at a position in a deeper league. Their ceiling may be close to average point production at the position but their floor is enough to get through the week. A reasonable player to have in your lineup in two-quarterback or superflex leagues.

Leave on the Bench- a player who should be avoided in all lineups that week. Many times this player could even be left on waivers.

Players that are could miss this week’s game

QB8 Trevor Lawerence, Jacksonville Jaguars

Trevor Lawrence suffered a concussion last week against the Baltimore Ravens. It is extremely unlikely that a player plays in the game following them entering concussion protocol. If Lawerence misses Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers C.J. Beathard becomes QB26 between Taylor Heinicke and Sam Howell.

QB7 C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

C.J. Stroud missed last week’s game against the Tennessee Titans with a concussion. He suffered a concussion last week against the New York Jets. If Stroud misses Week 16 against the Cleveland Browns Case Keenum becomes the QB28 between Mason Rudolph and Easton Stick.

QB24 Will Levis, Tennessee Titans

Will Levis suffered a sprained ankle last week against the Houston Texans. At this point it seems unlikely that Levis plays next week. If Levis misses Week 16 against the Seattle Seahawks Ryan Tannehill becomes the QB25 between Zach Wilson and Taylor Heinicke.

QB25 Zach Wilson, New York Jets

Zach Wilson suffered a concussion last week against the Miami Dolphins. It is unclear if Wilson will play this week. If Wilson misses Week 16 against the Washington Commanders Trevor Siemian becomes the QB26 between Taylor Heinicke and Sam Howell.

Players that are currently not expected to play

Desmond Ridder, Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons have decided to bench Desmond Ridder again making Taylor Heinicke their starting quarterback for next week. Atlanta has benched Ridder earlier in the year for Heinicke. It is clear that the Falcons future at quarterback is not on this roster. Atlanta is just trying to add a spark to this offense that helps them sneak into the playoffs.

Mitch Trubisky, Pittsburgh Steelers

After an extremely disappointing performance this past week Mitch Trubisky was benched for Mason Rudolph. Pittsburgh’s offense has been atrocious the past few seasons. It is clear that there are some question marks at quarterback in Pittsburgh even when Kenny Pickett is healthy. Pittsburgh hopes Rudolph could help them land a wild card spot in the AFC.
