Fire Emblem Heroes update out now (version 8.1.0), patch notes

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have put out another update to Fire Emblem Heroes bringing the game to version 8.1.0.

This update is introducing new skills for certain Heroes, new Memento Events, new weapon skills and weapons to refine, updating the lineup of Limited-Time Combat Manuals and more. We have the full rundown below.

■ New skills have been added for Legendary Heroes

Of the Heroes that appear in Legendary & Mythic Hero Remixes, Corrin: Child of Dusk and Lilina: Firelight Leader have gained new skills.

○ New skills

・ Special Skill

Negating Fang II
Cooldown: 3
Reduces damage from foe’s attacks by 40%. After Special triggers, unit’s next attack deals damage = 40% of unit’s Atk. (Boost resets at the end of combat.) If foe has the “attacks twice” effect, grants Special cooldown count-2 to unit after first Special trigger per combat.

This skill can only be equipped by its original unit.

・ B Skill

Guard 4
At start of combat, if unit’s HP ≥ 25%, inflicts Atk-4 and Special cooldown charge -1 on foe  per attack during combat (only highest value applied; does not stack) and reduces damage from foe’s first attack during combat by 30%.

・ Special Skill

Gifted Magic II
Cooldown: 2
Before combat this unit initiates, foes in an area near target take damage equal to (unit’s Atk – foe’s Def or Res). After combat, if unit’s Special triggered, grants【Canto (1)】to unit and allies within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit for 1 turn (granted even if unit’s HP reaches 0).

【Canto (1)】
After an attack, Assist skill, or structure destruction, unit can move 1 space(s).

(Unit moves according to movement type. Once per turn. Cannot attack or assist. Only highest value applied. Does not stack. After moving, if a skill that grants another action would be triggered (like with Galeforce), Canto will trigger after the granted action. Unit’s base movement has no effect on movement granted. Cannot warp (using skills like Wings of Mercy) a distance greater than 1 space(s).)

This skill can only be equipped by its original unit.

・ B Skill

Sabotage A/R 3
At start of turn, if any foe’s Res < unit’s Res and that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Atk/Res-6 on that foe through its next action.  At start of combat, if unit’s Res > foe’s Res, inflicts Atk/Res-X on foe during combat (X = 3 + highest penalty on each stat  between target and foes within 2 spaces  of target; calculates each stat penalty independently).

Corrin: Child of Dusk and Lilina: Firelight Leader have received new weapon skills to refine at the same time, so be sure to check the section of this notification labeled “New weapon skills and weapons to refine have been added” in conjunction with this section.
