FIREDUP Gaming Comes Out Victorious Against RDX in Rush B CSGO Tournament

Day 5 of the Rush B CSGO tournament presented by AA Gaming, saw RDX take on FIREDUP-Gaming take on each other in a best-of-three double-elimination matchup. Both teams come into the game fighting for their continued involvement making it a match of high stakes.

Map 1: Ancient

FIREDUP got off to a good start on the defense going 8-2 up before RDX were able to find any footing. Soon after the 10th round, RDX put together a string of 6 rounds and FIREDUP led only by a round before switching sides. RDX historically struggled on this map but their T side looked better than their previous showing.

On their offense, FIREDUP were able to brush off the lost rounds from their defense and got off to a stellar start. Despite being on a map perceived to be heavily CT-sided, they made it look easy and steamrolled onto the 15th round before RDX were able to show anything remotely convincing. RDX picked up three more rounds before FIREDUP put a stop to any attempts of a comeback and found themselves one map away from going onto the next round of the event.

Map 2: Overpass

RDX on the defense started the game with a pistol round win and but FIREDUP’s force buy delivered in aces and spades in the following round forcing RDX to go for a force buy. Both teams traded round for a while before FIREDUP were able to put together 10 rounds in a row to go 12-3 up. Disaster would be an understatement when describing RDX’s defense and with this, RDX already has a foot in the next round of the tournament.

Although RDX was able to grab the pistol on their offense and covert the following round but all this look futile on the face of the lead that FIREDUP got on their offense. RDX managed to go up to 9 rounds before FIREDUP closed the map and make it to the next round of the tournament.
