Fortnite Heists Guide – Heist Best Weapons in 6 Vaults

Fortnite Heists are the new mechanic for C4 S4! It’s how you get into the Fortnite C4 S4 vaults and grab the best weapons in the game.

Fortnite’s big new mechanic for Chapter 4 Season 4 is heists! These are a huge new feature. They have a few similarities with the C4 S1 Most Wanted update, but they’re an entirely fresh take for the game. There are Fortnite C4 S4 Vaults hidden all over the map with one-of-a-kind Mythics located inside. It isn’t as simple to open them as past vaults though. Instead, you’re going to need to put a bit of work in.

These new vaults have much stronger security than anything we’ve seen before. However, with that comes new tools. There’s special heist equipment which can help you get out safely. That’s once you’ve stolen your choice of Mythic, you actually have to get away. The whole POI will lock down. You’ll need to get out quickly. There are gates, soldiers, a lot stopping you, but also some decent tools for getting out fast.

If you want to start every game off with one of the best weapons in C4 S4, the Fortnite Heists are key. This is where all of the new vaults are and how to heist weapons in Fortnite.

What are in the Fortnite C4 S4 Vaults?

The new Fortnite C4 S4 vaults are a real prize, what exactly is inside though? You’re getting a Mythic weapon along with quite a few Rare chests which should help any player get set up for a good game. These are all of the Mythics you’ll get to choose between here too.

  • Midas’ Drum Gun
  • Zyg and Choppy’s Ray Gun
  • Ocean’s Bottomless Chug Jug
  • Kit’s Shockwave Launcher
  • Foundation’s MK-Seven Assault Rifle
  • Gunnar’s Stinger SMG
  • TNTina’s Kaboom Bow
  • Kit’s Charge Shotgun

Where are the Vaults?

The new map has had some major changes for the new season. It’s not just limited to a single new biome anymore. The game has a few new POIs which each contain one of the new Fortnite C4 S4 Vaults. However, they’ve also changed some of the better POIs from past seasons. They now have some slightly different Fortnite Vaults in them too. These are all of the new locations with vaults this season.

  • Eclipsed Estate
  • Relentless Retreat
  • Sanguine Suites

These are the main three vault POIs. However, there are some extra spots with some vaults too.

  • Mega City
  • Rumble Ruins
  • Slap Juice Factory

Each of these contains one of the new vault locations. However, they won’t all have the new Mythics in them. Similar to the C4 S3 Vaults, they aren’t 100% for the other three, but the new POIs will always give you a Mythic. Even these other vaults are worth visiting though, since you’re getting more than enough rare chests though, so it’s not the end of the world.

Where are the Fortnite C4 S4 Vaults?

If you’re planning on pulling off one of the Fortnite heists when you land, you’ll need to head to one of those POIs. Ideally, open a chest or two and get some basic weaponry to defend yourself. Then you need to head to the vault itself. Unlike past hidden vaults these are seemingly easy to find. They’re marked on the map by a bulkhead door icon.

However, that won’t help in a lot of the new POIs. A lot of the vaults aren’t exactly rooms on the ground floor that you just walk up to. Instead, you’ll need to head into the building itself and find a way downstairs. Underneath each of these locations is a spot where you can enter a more secret base. It’s a compound with turrets, motion sensors, and a boss then a vault.

Once you’ve located this hidden area, you’re going to be able to infiltrate the Fortnite C4 S4 vaults. You’ll need to do this if you want to know how to heist weapons in Fortnite.

Fortnite Heists Guide – Infiltrating

The next step to getting your hands on Mythics is to infiltrate the base area. Once you get close you’ll likely start to notice the defences. When you’re first heading in, you need to avoid the yellow lines and red lasers. Both of these will alert guards or begin turrets firing at you. If a turret is blocking your path entirely, there’s time to destroy it if you act fast.

These simple defences will prevent you from crossing quite a few spots. Either take care of them or avoid them as you travel further in, closer to the vault. About a room ahead of the vault itself, you’re going to see the boss.

These bosses are roughly the same as the ones we’ve had the last two seasons. They’re pretty easy to take down. Just keep shooting them until their health is all gone, it shouldn’t take too long especially with so many powerful items in the game right now. You don’t exactly need to use Fortnite aim trainers to take them out. Once they’re dead, you’re able to grab the key card and infiltrating is done! You’ll likely have a few more NPCs try to chase you at this point, but avoid or kill them and head over to the bulkhead.

Fortnite Heists do put a room of Mission Impossible-style lasers between you and the vault though. For these, just avoid the red lines. If you do trigger it though the jail door is easily destroyed, so don’t be too concerned. You’ll quickly get to the Vault itself.

How to Heist Weapons in Fortnite – Opening the Vault

Once you’re at the vault door with the weapon, you’re not far from opening things up. Just head to the terminal and redeem your key card for one of the Fortnite C4 S4 Vaults. Inside, you’ll find a decent amount of loot but there’s some stuff to keep in mind.

The first is the Mythics. If this is a Vault with a boss you’ll get a choice between two of the Mythics returning for this season. However, don’t grab them straight away. It’s very tempting just to grab the very first thing you want but lay off a minute, there’s an important reason. Once you grab either of the Mythics, the other vanishes and all alarms start blaring. Take it easy. How to heist weapons in Fortnite is simple, but loot first.

Heard around the vault and open up the chests. Grab whatever it is that you want to take out with you. Don’t forget the gold stacks in the Fortnite C4 S4 vaults can be harvested for a serious amount of gold if you have the time. Once you’re done, head over to the display cases.

There are two Mythics, one in each case. You can’t have both, but you do get a pick. Once you’ve decided which of the weapons you want more, approach the case. You’ll then get a prompt to Heist the weapon! That’s how to heist weapons in Fortnite, it isn’t as simple as looting but it’s just a short animation. Fortnite Heists provide the best loot to help win games in Battle Royale.

Once you’ve grabbed everything, it’s time to get out there.

The Getaway

Unlike Fortnite Vaults in the past, these Fortnite heists are a bit more dangerous. There is some serious resistance to you making it out of there with your heisted loot. Since you’re now running around with multiple Mythics and high level heals, you’ve got the goods to get away. It isn’t going to be easy though.

As you leave, you’ll likely notice that new barricades have popped up blocking your way out. Head out the quickest route, destroying these barricades where possible. You’ll have to use a pickaxe, or if you have a Rocket Ram use that to blow your way through! Most of the dedicated POIs have launch pads situated for a quick getaway, so once you’re clear and out of the building you’re going to be home free! How to heist weapons in Fortnite is maybe most difficult on the getaway.

That’s how the Fortnite Heists work this season. These are a really fun way to get some of the best loot in the game right now. These Mythics aren’t available anywhere else, it might be worth trying to pull off a Fortnite heist with each game you enter into.
