Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 26 – Autumn | TheXboxHub

Autumn has rolled into Mexico and Series 26 of the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges in the world of  Forza Horizon 5. And we all know what that means, right? Yep, it means we’ve got another excuse to go racing around the streets of Mexico, enjoying some new challenges, and hopefully winning some new cars.

With the Dia des Muertos Series continuing, we are going to be faced with the usual assortment of PR Stunts and races. So let’s go and see what Autumn has in store for us, shall we?

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – People’s Car

The weekly challenge car this week is a VW Beetle from 1963. Now, not being a hippy, I’ve never got the love for this vehicle, as to me they are small, noisy and annoying. But people do seem to love them.

Should you not have one in your garage, they are not in the Autoshow so hit the auction house!

Chapter 1 – Beloved Beetle

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!

Chapter 2 – Customisable Shell

Now we need to spend a mere 25,000 credits on upgrading our Beetle. I have prepared a nice tune that should get you over that limit – share name is Beetle with my GT, Red620Ti.

Chapter 3 – Artistic Endeavour

As a Beetle is on display at a museum in Mexico, we have to paint our car. It’s body, not like a portrait or anything. Lucky that!

Hot Wheels purple it is…

Chapter 4 – Roly Poly

As the 1960’s models of Beetles received a front anti-roll bar upgrade, we have to test it out by setting three Sideswipe skills. These are defined as “Tap an object from the side”. Nice and helpful, eh?

What it boils down to is basically drifting and causing wreckage at the same time. Still do that and this week’s challenge will be done, pushing us five points closer to the reward cars that are in place during Series 26.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

With the obligatory driving of a car that no one would ever choose to drive in real life over and done with, it’s time for the meat and drink of the week. Let’s see what’s in the larder for this week, shall we?

The Trial – Trial Mix

We need to use a car from the 1980’s, and only tuned to a maximum of B Class 700.

Now, to me, the 1990’s were a blur of JDM machinery, and I was torn between a Mark IV Supra and a Skyline for about 10 seconds, before sense prevailed and I chose an R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R. The share code is : 224199956 (This is the 1997 model).

I’m going to trust that we are all going to play nicely now, so no more lectures from me!

Should we manage to win two out of three races, a lovely Evo MR from 2006 is ours.

Eventlab 1 – DMFDXGAMER Presents – Self Sabotage, Vehicular Therapy

We need an offroad car tuned to B Class 700 for this race, and so I went with a Ford Ranger Rally Raid, with share code : 166960440.

A nice neat track that doesn’t outstay its welcome, I quite enjoyed this one.

The prize for completing this race is a new Forzalink phrase, “I’m in the zone!”.

Eventlab 2 – PINHEADLARRY06  Presents Del Mar City

For this Eventlab, we need to use an Classic Sports Car, with a tuning limit of D Class 500. Not exactly Fast and Furious territory is it?

I used a stock Skyline 2000Gt-R, because it’s a skyline, innit!

Again, a nice enough track, with the distinguishing feature that the first and last corners are absolute buggers to get round. Two good entries this week!

But there’s a prize on offer for completion – a Super Wheelspin to add to the collection.

PR Stunt 1 –  Danger Sign – Stadium Jump

This week the tuning limit for these events is B Class 700, and the car used must be a Renault. I went with a Clio R.S.200 EDC, and the share code is : 262870774.

We need to jump 195 m (oddly specific, but still…) and as the approach is on road, the Clio should batter it. Hit the ramp at over 120 to clear it easily.

We get a Super Wheelspin in return though. It’ll do. It can be added to the rest of those I’ve got sitting in the bank.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – Pequeno Puente

The target this time is 99mph, and the choice of car is still restricted – so I went with the same Clio from above. Approaching from the north is easiest, and hurtling down the steep hill is best of all!

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 3 -Drift Zone – Las Dunas

You don’t immediately think of a Renault when drifting is required, but that’s what we need.

I used a Renault 5 Turbo from 1980, and the share name is R5T with my GT, Red620Ti. We need to score more than 100,000 drift points to win. We also need some brave pills to tame this thing!

Luckily the course is nice and long and so it isn’t too hard.

Yet another Super Wheelspin to add to the pile.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Pocket Pandemonium

Tuning Limit of D Class 500 this week, and the category is “Microcar Madness”.

Of the not massive choice on offer, I went with a Mini Cooper S from 1965 (when they were a real Mini) and the share code is : 680141450.

For winning outright solo, or best two out of three in a convoy, we can take home a Megane R26.

Seasonal Championship 2 – Natural Habitat

The racing here takes on an American Bent, with the car required being a Dodge SRT model, tuned to A Class 800. I chose a Challenger SRT Demon and kept it stock for a bit of fun!

We can walk away with another prize for winning, an Porsche 944

Seasonal Championship 3 – Escaping the Heat

A third race series this week, and I’m happy about that!

The class this time is Super Hot Hatches, and the class is B Class 700. It is offroad as well to add a little spice.

I went with aFocus RS from 2009, and the share code is : 111915343.

Part 3: Other Challenges

There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week.

There’s the Photo Challenge, and a collectible smashing challenge. No Treasure Hunt this time around though.

Photo Challenge – #Stargazer

Another pun? We need to take a Renault to the Star 27 mural in Mulege, and take a photo while it is night time. Make sure you set the time of day in the options, as otherwise it doesn’t seem to count.

I’ll post the location and my artistic effort. Let me know what you think.

The reward? A new Mexican Race Suit, which I will not be wearing as it isn’t a dinosaur suit. All the cool kids wear dinosaur suits.

Collectibles – Tanks for the Show

We have to find and smash ten Tank Mariachi collectibles this week, and they are dotted about the Mexico Festival site. I’ll post a picture below of what you are looking for.

Doing this will get us a new Forzalink phrase, “Welcome to Mexico!”

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Frozen Rush

This week, we are limited to the same restrictions as previously, a B Class 700 Renault.

We need to average over 100mph through the zone to win, so I used the same Clio as above and below to do it. It’s all ice, so a little tricky, but very doable.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward. Yes, you read that right – Another Super Wheelspin.

Seasonal Championship – Slip and Slide

It is time for a BMW, tuned to A Class 800. As always, the answer for me is the BMW M3 GTR, and the share code for mine is 198385025.

Completing the championship will get us a Lotus Elise from 1999.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – Duna Escarpada

Same car limit, but a speed trap this time, and off road to boot.

Step up the Clio again, as above, and the share code is :262870774.  We need to hit 80 mph to clear this one. Slightly easier this week! Approach from the right for best results.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin.

Seasonal Championship – You’re Doing Super, Sport!

This time we need an C Class 600 Chevrolet Super Sport, and I chose the Impala.

For a little spice, I left it rear drive but shoehorned 800 bhp under the bonnet. Accelerate carefully! The share name is Ss409 under my GT, Red620Ti.

For winning out, we can take away a Ford Racing Puma. I have made a lovely TXH livery for this car if you want to stand out! Help spread the TXH word…

With Series 26 more than underway, the Series reward motors start coming up for grabs. This time around they are a Ferrari 250GT for 80 points, and for 160 pts it is a Ferrari F8 Tributo, a hard to find set of wheels. You can start on your journey to Ferrari ownership this week.

If you need a few extra points to get you over the line, the monthly Rivals challenges are here; Chihuahua Circuit for proper cars, and Desierto Trail for EV’s. Stick some clean laps and Bob should be the brother of your mother.

4 points are on offer if you return clean laps for each one, so worth having a go at!

Grab enough points and Series 26 Autumn will also see you gifted with the exclusive Mayers Manx 2.0 for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Subaru WRX ‘15,another exclusive car for this week!

Stick around for the tunes you’ll need for Winter and Spring of Series 26 in the weeks ahead.

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes. And also be sure to let us know what you think of that TXH livered Puma. Glorious, no?
