The PC version of Forza Horizon 5 will finally get better upscaling options with the addition of Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR coming in the next update, slated for release on November 8.

Forza Horizon 5 will be implementing Nvidia DLSS 2.4. This is only available for those running Nvidia RTX graphics cards, and not exactly the latest one which is DLSS 3.0, but still good to have nonetheless.

(There’s also an option to use Nvidia DLAA for anti-aliasing).

The open-world racing game will also support AMD FSR. This upscaling option is usable on any PC, and it’s the first game to have the latest version, FSR 2.2.

Either upscaling tech can be used to up-res the graphics to a higher resolution, requiring less performance than natively rendering at a higher resolution.

The game will also be adding more options for ray tracing. The ray tracing effects, powered by DirectX Ray Tracing (DXR), will now come in two more options: Ultra and Extreme.

Ultra will enable ray-tracing in photo mode as well as when you are in free roam and racing. Though for free roam and racing, the resolution is halved.

Extreme does everything Ultra does but at full resolution.

Ray tracing in photo mode, available on the new Ultra and Extreme presets, will also apply to AI cars.

The update will also bring in new body kits for 20 cars, arriving ahead of the next Festival Playlist where the game brings a collaboration with YouTube channel Donut Media.
