FPL Position Changes

A number of players have switched positions this year, with some fan-favourites like Diogo Jota and Joelinton switching from midfield to attack, and vice versa.

These position changes may lead to more opportunities for selection, with Joelinton proving himself to be a very handy midfielder for Newcastle last season.

Stuart Dallas and Kai Havertz both represent interesting position changes, with the latter seemingly set to lead the Chelsea line for the new season.

Saint-Maximin has also switched from a forward to a midfielder, but he may have to improve his productivity before a swarth of FPL players start selecting him for their sides.

FPL 2022/23

The official FPL Twitter account revealed that access to the new FPL season would start in July, and the game went live on Tuesday, 5 July at approximately 4:30pm BST.

Last year Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah topped the chart with 265 points, closely followed by Heung Min Son with 242 points.

A couple of defenders, Trent Alexander-Arnold (208 points) and Joao Cancelo (201 points) also made up the top five, with West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen a cost-effective choice after his 206 points haul last campaign.
