Global Esports reveals VALORANT roster for 2023 VCT season

Global Esports is living up to its name with the announcement of what may be the most diverse roster of VCT 2023. The Indian eSports organization presents a 7-player roster in the Pacific league, composed of players from five different countries.

Hailing from Canada, Korea, Australia, India and Indonesia, the international roster has its eyes on the prize for the 2023 season.

The roster is headed by former XSET player Jordan “AYRIN” He, who is relocating from North America. AYRIN will take the reins as the game’s leader, working alongside coach Hong “Eraser” Chang-pyo, who used to coach DAMWON Gaming.

New additions Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki and Kim “t3xture” Na-ra join from DAMWON Gaming and On Sla2ers respectively. Both teams participated in the East Asia Last Chance Playoffs, where On Sla2ers made it all the way to the grand final to face Edward Gaming.

Michael “WRONSKI” Wronski was picked up from ORDER, the beleaguered Melbourne-based organization that ran out of funding in August. Prior to its collapse, ORDER had been the top team in Oceania for the better part of a year, although the team never ranked among the best in the Asia-Pacific region.

Finally, Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha hails from ONIC G, the APAC LCQ grand finalist alongside BOOM Esports.

This is the full Global Esports VALORANT roster:

  • Jordan “AYRIN” He
  • Michael “WRONSKI” Wronski
  • Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki
  • Kim “t3xture” Na-ra
  • Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha
  • Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar
  • Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury
  • Bhavin “HellrangeR” Kotwani (Substitute)
  • Akshay “KappA” Sinkar (Substitute)
  • Jayanth “skillZ” Ramesh (Substitute)

A common thing unites most of these players. With the exception of Lightningfast, all of them have played the most games on dueling agents over the course of their careers, most notably Jett.

Founder and CEO Rushindra Sinha seemed to scoff at this fact on Twitter. “Jett/duelist esports incoming,” he joked. While some players have switched to Chamber in recent months, no one besides AYRIN and Lightningfast has played with a non-Duelist or Chamber agent in the last 90 days.

In a meta where teams often have only one Duelist, or even no Duelist at all (depending on the map), several players may have to step out of their comfort zone and take on another role.

However, it is possible that Global Esports will make changes to its initial roster. “The final six will be selected from our expanded roster based on their form,” he said on Twitter. The team will make its international debut in February at the 30-team tournament in São Paulo, Brazil. Meanwhile, the team is already heading to Seoul to begin training.

Not too long ago, we were talking about India and its presence in the esports industry. It seems that Global Esports is losing no time at all, and they are pushing the pedal to the metal with this new VALORANT roster. If you are interested in VALORANT betting, make sure to check out our page where we have a big amount of offers and sign-up deals readily available for you!
