It’s been a big couple of weeks for fans of Grand Theft Auto, as a trilogy collection of remasters of three older titles were announced: Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City and San Andreas. It’s sure to make many people happy to revisit those titles with their slick and stylized new looks. But it seems for one of those games, it won’t be the only new look it’ll have, as San Andreas is apparently going into VR.
As announced today at the Facebook Connect, a VR version of the game will come to the Oculus Quest 2, which is the latest wireless headset from the company (now being rebranded as Meta). Unfortunately, no details were given about when to expect it or no footage to give an idea of what that may look like.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a classic from that era reimagined for the Oculus Quest 2 as Facebook/Meta partnered with Capcom to release a VR remake of Resident Evil 4, so it seems this could be a trend. We’ll keep you updated as more information comes out.
