The remake of Final Fantasy VII’s prequel, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, has finally been released. While this release comes as great news for longtime fans, new players may be curious as to how many chapters the game has.
Crisis Core, which follows the story of Zack Fair, closely relates to that of Cloud Strife’s in Final Fantasy VII, as many characters make appearances in both games. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, which is still awaiting the release of its second installment, Crisis Core can be played in its entirety on all major consoles.

There are eleven chapters in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion including its prologue, all of which can take varying amounts of time to complete.
There are several sidequests and extra story content throughout the game, the majority of which can be completed at any point up until Chapter 7. Depending on how much time you spend on gameplay not directly related to the main storyline, completing the game can take anywhere from 18 to 35 hours.
