Now that you can swim underwater, there are brand new ways to fight monsters through underwater combat. It’s a lot to take in, and a lot to learn, so let me explain how to beat the Ocean Circuit Judge in Genshin Impact.

This giant crab boss is quite tough if you don’t know how to properly fight it. At first, I was utterly confused on how I could even damage it, but you have to use the right abilities. How you beat the Ocean Circuit Judge in Genshin Impact is by damaging it with the ability taken from the blue crabs.

Don’t know what I mean? Well, when underwater, certain creatures have abilities that you can absorb. See the tiny blue crab with an icon above it? You’ll want that ability, so just hit it once with ‘Left-click’, and you now have the ability. If you’re not sure where to find this Ocean Circuit Judge, check the map above, he’s underwater, just south of the Court of Fontaine.

You can honestly complete this fight in a minute if you use this ability correctly. Press the ‘E’ key, or whatever your Elemental Skill key is, to put on a forcefield, which will protect you from damage. The giant crab will try to do a spin-attack, or it will lob fish at you. It’s not even worth it to hit it with your Normal Attack, it will hardly do any damage.

Instead, hold the Elemental Skill key, which will charge up your ability and allow you to aim it. Then, wait for the giant crab to throw a fish, and after it hits your barrier, release the key, and you’ll deal massive damage to the crab.

Eventually, it will also put on a forcefield, but that’s easy to get past with this ability. Keep doing this same strategy, and it’ll topple over in no time. That’s all it takes to defeat the Ocean Circuit Judge crab!
