In the new Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Nintendo Switch game, players have a chance to get Giratina. Here is how to obtain the Pokémon.

After the release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokémon fans have been trying to catch every Generation IV Pokémon. Players have been wondering how to find and catch the legendary Pokémon Giratina, who appears in the game.

Giratina is a ghost/dragon type Pokémon who first appeared with the release of Generation IV Pokémon. Giratina is a legendary Pokémon who can appear in two different forms: His origin or altered form.

Giratina is typically shown in its altered form, but can transform when given a Griseous Orb, which can also be obtained in Pokémon BDSP.

After players in Pokémon BDSP defeat the Pokémon League Championship, a new open path, Spring Path, will appear on the right side of Route 214. This is south of Veilstone City.

At the end of Spring Path, players will enter Turnback Cave. The move Defog must be used inside to clear the path ahead. At the center of the room, ruins will inform players that they must search for three pillars before entering a total of 30 rooms.

The pillars are hidden at random so there is no way to navigate which room contains a pillar. If the pillars aren’t found before entering the 30th room, players will be sent to the start of the cave.

Giratina will appear in the room holding the last pillar. The Pokémon will be level 70 and is a ghost/dragon type in BDSP. Giratina is the only legendary Pokémon weak to its own types as well as fairy, ice and dark type Pokémon. Dusk balls are also best to use when catching Giratina.
