Apple Music subscribers can now listen to their music on PlayStation 5, allowing them to play the music of their choosing underneath whatever game they’ve decided to run. Here’s how to listen to Apple Music on PS5.

The feature can be accessed either through the Apple Music app before launching a game, or by pressing the PS button on the DualSense controller to access the Control Center, and then selecting the Music Function card. From there, they’ll be able to choose a playlist in their library, choose an Apple Music-curated playlist, or get recommendations for music based on the game they’re currently playing.
That recommendation features is a curious one. Who decides what music matches what games? Or, likely more appropriately, how does the algorithm decide what music fits, say, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, but not Returnal?
The Apple Music app also offers PS5 users the ability to watch music videos, in full screen or minimized without interrupting the music.
