Hype Builds as New Tales from the Borderlands Gets Dual Character, Gameplay Trailers

New Tales from the Borderlands is the follow-up to the excellent Tales from the Borderlands, and it’s set to launch on 21st October, on PS5 and PS4. We got a couple of new trailers over the weekend, with one detailing its colourful cast of characters, and the other an extensive look at gameplay.

We meet Fran, the one-time proprietress of a Pandoran frozen yoghurt store out for revenge, and Susan Coldwell, the target of said revenge. There is Octavio Wallace-Dahr, an ambitious young nobody out to prove he’s somebody. And finally, we have Anu, a revolutionary scientist who just wants to make the world a better place.

The core cast is rounded out by the kind of crazy characters you would expect to inhabit Promethea, a war-torn metropolis languishing in the backwater that is the Borderlands. Below you can see the game in action with an extended gameplay trailer, to get a better feel for the characters themselves.

It honestly looks great, and we can’t wait to pick this one up. What do you think of New Tales from the Borderlands? Did you play the original game? Let us know in the comments section below.
