Insomniac’s community director James Stevenson has set pulses raising with an unprompted GIF of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The moving image doesn’t really reveal much: it’s just a shot of Peter Parker and Miles Morales standing side-by-side. But without any context or captions, some are taking it as a tease.
Late last month, Venom voice actor Tony Todd did temporarily raise expectations by hinting at “big creative news”, but it didn’t turn out to be related to the hotly anticipated PS5 sequel.
With Christmas right around the corner, and The Game Awards now over, we’d be surprised if Sony pushed out a big trailer this late in the year – but hey, maybe it’s feeling festive and fancies treating us all before the New Year. Stranger things have happened!
