Jimmy Smith to Retire a Raven

34-year-old cornerback Jimmy Smith has announced his retirement from the NFL. He will have a retirement press conference on Monday afternoon.

The Baltimore Ravens congratulated Smith and helped him announce his retirement via Twitter on Monday.

Smith was drafted in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Ravens, and remained in Baltimore for his entire career. In his 11 season, he grabbed 14 interceptions, three sacks and three defensive touchdowns.

While in Baltimore, Smith and the Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII over the 49ers. He played in only 10 games in 2021, starting just two of them. It was his most unproductive season as a pro, due to injury. Smith had just three pass deflections and no interceptions.
