In 2019, he made the move to defensive end and had an impressive season. He finished the year with 19 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. White and the Monarchs did not play in 2020 and then he transferred to Georgia Tech. In his first season with the Yellow Jackets, White played four games, tallying four total tackles and 0.5 tackles for loss. He returned in 2022 to total 54 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.

Following his redshirt senior season, White is headed to the 2023 NFL Draft. He is a projected first or second-round pick.

Keion White Strengths

White is a big edge rusher at 6-foot-5 and 285 pounds. With his size comes great length as he has 34-inch arms. His size allows him to have better strength than most edge rushers in the class. He is able to shed blocks and handle power well for an edge rusher. White has overpowered lighter tackles during his college career.

He is a versatile player that can be used across the line of scrimmage. White has spent time as an interior defensive lineman and on the edge. While he could be seen as a “tweener” he has found success at both postitions. He has the athleticism to play edge, but has the size to play inside if that is what a team needs. His versatility makes him a fit for a variety of defensive schemes.

For his size, White has good athleticism. He is able to get off at the snap of the ball well. White shows good twitch and flexibility in his reps. This athleticism allows him to win with his athleticism on the edge and not just his size. The blend of both his size and athleticism is very unique.

Keion White Weaknesses

His pass rush will need some work at the next level. He can win with his power and his ability to bend, but he needs to be less predictable in his pass rush. White can have a better pass-rush plan and add more pass-rush moves to his arsenal to be a more successful pass-rusher.

White shows that he is still learning the position in a few ways. He lacks consistency in production and in his technique. White also struggles to understand how offenses are blocking him. With more time at the position, he needs to show improvement in these areas.

There are times when White loses power because he gets too upright out of his stance. His pad level gets too high and it throws off the rep. White needs to focus on staying down and keeping his pad level low to win more reps at the next level.
