Will you visit the Super Crazy Rhythm Castle?

A cross between Guitar Hero and Overcooked!? Well, we never thought we would see the day, but the mad-lads at Konami Digital Entertainment and Second Impact Games have only gone and done it! Get ready for the chaos of Super Crazy Rhythm Castle on console and PC soon.

Enter the Crazy Castle

Konami have today announced their upcoming game, Super Crazy Rhythm Castle, developed by Brighton-based studio, Second Impact Games. This is an intriguing co-op title that combines the rhythm-based gameplay of Guitar Hero, and the stress and tension of Overcooked! It’s all wrapped up in a story that sees you storm a crazy castle, whilst the evil king attempts to put you off your rhythm.

King Ferdinand is hell-bent on ensuring you do not conquer his home, and as such is throwing a variety of rhythm-based challenges towards you and your co-op friends. Although you can ride solo should you prefer.

Soon enough you’ll be defeating an eggplant DJ, triggering an ancient ritual with magic beans, and even covering small people in gravy – don’t ask, we don’t have a clue either!

Fun with Friends

If you do manage to convince some friends that spilling meat stock on virtual people is the best way to spend Friday night, then Super Crazy Rhythm Castle caters to players of all abilities.

Across the 30+ tracks of madness to take on – with rock, dubstep and more on offer – players can play along to the music in a variety of modes, depending on their ability level. Other players can hop away from the music action and fully focus on the puzzles that populate each level, if that’s alternatively more their thing.

Whether you are playing in three-button or four-button modes, or solving tricky challenges, there’s something for everyone in Super Crazy Rhythm Castle.

For those looking for a true test, however, look no further than the gold medals that can be unlocked. Just head to the Music Lab, and work through every track – this will be a real musical exam!

Coming to Console and PC

Whilst there’s nothing insofar as a full release date, Super Crazy Rhythm Castle is available for physical pre-order and digital wishlisting today. The game will release for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC.

For now, make sure to tune into the first showing of some levels from the game, which will be co-ordinated on TikTok on July 12th (today) and July 13th. The channels for this showing are spectrexgaming, itsnick&cam, Magukarp and sholaheyy.

We will of course provide any updates on the game in the future, so make sure to check back regularly. Konami are on to a winner here, no?
