LCS Power Rankings: 2022 Summer Split Week 7

The LCS 2022 season started with EG surprising everyone and rising to the top much earlier than anticipated. Now, everyone is playing catchup. The end of the season is coming up quickly the top six teams look locked in, but where that group will finish is up for debate. With that here are the LCS 2022 Summer Split Week 7 Power Rankings.

10. DIG (2-11)

(Last Week: 10)

Selling off River was a pretty clear sign that this team was done. They have promoted less experienced talent and are seeing what they’ve got. This team will fight hard and may surprise with a win here or there but ultimately they are just fodder for the rest of the LCS.

9. IMT (3-10)

(Last Week: 8)

It was a tough weekend for Immortals. They looked much better but unfortunately had to play the top two teams in the LCS. They are still in range for a playoff spot without a doubt. Luckily they have Dignitas still coming up but unfortunately for them, so do TSM and Golden Guardians. They will need to steal a win and with Golden Guardians coming up on Sunday, they have the opportunity to have a 2-0 weekend and be in the driver’s seat for super week.

8. GGS (4-9)

(Last Week: 7)

River was supposed to help things and while he played pretty well, the rest of the team struggled. A loss to TSM was the last thing this team needed but they are still a game up on Immortals and have a chance to essentially lock a playoff spot with a win over them on Sunday. That game will be crucial in determining the seventh and eighth spot in playoffs.

7. TSM (4-9)

(Last Week: 9)

Hard to argue that Solo did not make this team better. While it may not helps TSM’s future by having him play, they seem to be all in on making playoffs this year. A win over Golden Guardians certainly helped that immensely and with a game against Dignitas on Sunday, TSM could be in a great spot heading into super week.

6. TL (8-5)

(Last Week: 5)

It is sad to see this team fall down as far as they have. While many may question why an 8-5 team is here, here is the reason why. TL’s wins have come against a C9 team without their full squad, a decent CLG win, Dignitas, a good win over FlyQuest, one against Golden Guardians, two against Immortals and one again TSM. They are really not beating good teams often or really at all. These last two weeks will be crucial for TL to show that they are actually the team everyone expected them to be.

5. FLY (7-6)

(Last Week: 3)

FlyQuest unfortunately ran into two very strong teams this weekend. Cloud9 are finding their form as Berserker is heating up and Evil Geniuses are the best team in North America. Luckily for them, they are still in a good place in terms of playoffs and still have games against TSM and Immortals in Week 8. If they can pull off a 2-0 over TL and CLG this weekend then FlyQuest will have officially put themselves in the Worlds picture. If they go 0-2 then sadly it will look like they are just the gatekeepers of the bottom four teams.

4. CLG (8-5)

(Last Week: 6)

It was not a hard weekend for CLG but they still had to take care of business. Dhokla and Contractz really showed out on Saturday against GGS and Luger reminded everyone of how deadly he can be on Sunday. CLG have a huge Week 7 coming up against C9 and FLY. One win would be great here but two would put them into a top three discussion that has not happened since Week 1.

3. 100T (10-3)

(Last Week: 2)

It is dangerous to put 100 Thieves here in the LCs Power Rankings as it may curse Cloud9 to a loss against them in Week 7. That being said, 100 Thieves had a very easy week against Dignitas and Immortals. They did their job and swept them away with ease but now they will have to prove that their form against Evil Geniuses is who they really are. This team is very good and probably deserve to be higher.

2. C9 (8-5)

(Last Week: 3)

As always fans have to take Cloud9’s record as not really indicative of the power of this team. Since the main roster has come on, Cloud9 are 8-2 with their only losses coming to a FlyQuest team that was on the rise and a random loss to Immortals that C9 should have won. They are very clearly one of the best teams in the LCS but wont have a chance to take the top spot due to a terrible 0-3 start. No one wants to play this team right now as Berserker is lighting the LCS on fire.

1. EG (11-2)

(Last Week: 1)

Immortals certainly gave the Geniuses a run for their money but it was not enough in the end. Inspired has to be the MVP at this point and many will point to his game against Immortals where he essentially solo carried the team as a reason why. Those types of games will give EG plenty of things to work on while not hurting their record. They are basically locked for a top two spot at this point and look to be nearly unstoppable as they casually walk into playoffs.
