Madden 22 Release Date

Madden 22 was released on August 20, 2021, with some players being able to play as early as August 17 with Early Access.

Madden 22 was released on the same platforms as Madden 21, which included PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Stadia.

The official reveal trailer seen above features our first look at the actual gameplay of Madden 22 and shined the spotlight on cover athletes Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes.

Players who pre ordered the MVP Edition or Dynasty Edition of Madden 22 should make sure to claim their Ultimate Team rewards, which you can find more details about here.

Madden 22 Most Feared Part 2

Madden 22 Most Feared Part 2 is set for release TODAY (Friday, 22 October 22)!

We could see the new cards and challenges go live at approximately 11am ET / 5pm ET.

Most Feared Part 2 will bring us loads of new content, including 40 New Players, 30 New Challenges in the Ulti-Verse of Terror, New House Rules: MONSTER WINS and Most Feared Release 2 Player Sets.

Promos, Challenges, Missions, and Packs

We’re still working through MUT 22, but most of the mechanics of these pieces returned in a similar or identical fashion.

We’re still seeing unique promos and programs like MUT Heroes and MUT Legends in the game and we’ll keep you updated each time another one is added.

Challenges and Missions made a return, and we should see updates that make them more fresh and exciting for players.

Promos & Programs

One of the first big questions going into MUT 22 will be what the first promo chosen for Madden 22 Ultimate Team ends up being, which are often also called programs.

Madden has used tons of different promo themes in the past several years, and here are just a few we might see return for MUT 22:

Challenges & Missions

One of the earliest things you’ll have to take on in MUT 22 are starting challenges, which served as a test of skills and also partly as a tutorial in MUT 21.

After you get through the starting challenges, you’ll take on others which often include recreating classic moments or performing in a specific preset scenario.

By comparison, missions tend to be made up of other tasks like collecting certain kinds of players or doing certain tasks in games that will lead you to a final reward for the mission.

MUT 22 Packs

The bedrock of Ultimate Team are packs, and we’re sure to see plenty of new and returning types of packs in MUT 22.

Packs become the primary way you earn new cards and content for Madden Ultimate Team, and that doesn’t change in Madden 22.

You can purchase in-game currency to buy packs with real-world money, but you can also use training, points, or coins earned in MUT to purchase packs.

MUT 22 Beginner’s Guide

Madden 22 Ultimate Team (MUT 22) allows you to build a squad with both the stars of the current game and the legendary players of yesteryear.

You will go undertake a series of challenges, often aiming to receive packs with new cards to further expand and upgrade your Ultimate Team.

You can choose to focus on building the best team full of players from your favorite franchise, known as Theme Teams, or go fully competitive and build a monster squad to take on others online.

Looking to build the best Madden Ultimate Team, but want to avoid spending a ton of money on it? Great news, you can do it by going “No Money Spent”, which a ton of players are now doing.

This is an easy, albeit time-consuming, way to build a strong MUT 22 team. The truth is, it can be a lot more fun playing this way because it encourages you to complete challenges.

You can land elite level players in Madden 22 without spending any money. We were able to get both A.J. Brown and Ezekiel Elliot by just opening free packs!
