Double XP weekends are the best time to jump on to the Vanguard multiplayer or Warzone and level up fast. Typically, these events are reserved for special events when the game has just been released so it’s left us wondering when the next one will be.
During the events, you can earn double account and weapon XP for the duration, which is usually around 2-3 days. Battle Pass XP is not affected by these events and could be saved for its own special double XP weekend.
This is assuming that the events will work the same way they did in Black Ops: Cold War but Vanguard may change the way these weekends work going forward! Here’s everything we know so far…
When is the next Double XP Weekend?
There was a possibility that the first Double XP weekend could take place between 5-7 November to celebrate the launch of Vanguard. It appears that this will not be the case but the idea isn’t completely absurd.

We may instead see an event planned for next weekend, 12-14 November, to give players worldwide a bit more time to get their copy of the game sorted. As nice as it would be, we have to admit that it’s a long shot as Activision may be unwilling to offer double XP so soon after launch especially when XP tokens were handed out for pre-ordering the game.
Realistically, the earliest double XP weekend is likely to be closer to the launch of ‘The Pacific’ Warzone map. This is a huge event for Warzone and Vanguard and Activision will want the servers to be packed!

The best way to do that is to offer up additional XP across the launch weekend which is 5-7 December. The Pacific map launches on 3 December.
