MAJ3R returns to CS:GO with Eternal Fire

Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli has been announced as Eternal Fire‘s new fifth. The Turkish team was down to just four players following the recent departure of Buğra “Calyx” Arkın, who left the team as a free agent after nearly a year with the team.

Eternal Fire initally struggled to find their footing after the team was founded in August 2021, but eventually broke through to qualify for the PGL Major in Antwerp and now sit in 22nd place in the world ranking with the hopes that the addition of a pure in-game leader will give the team a boost.

MAJ3R will bring his know-how and experience to Eternal Fire

This signing marks the end of MAJ3R‘s venture into Valorant, which he moved to with the core of his last CS:GO team, Sangal, in search of greener pastures, but a barren landscape devoid of events ended up with the 31-year-old once again back in his country’s top CS:GO outfit.

Much has changed from the Space Soldiers and Sangal days, but the incoming in-game leader is not a complete stranger to the team he’s joining, having played with both Ömer “imoRR” Karataş and Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş during his Space Soldiers days.

“Everyone know the story we did one time. But we never succeeded to do the same again,” MAJ3R wrote in his statement.

“After sangal adventure I wanted to try a career in valorant, but I realise that the sistem of riot is completly different that cs. We pracced 6 months to only show it in one competition (vlr) I find the competition sistem so weak and I missed csgo so much in this time. With my full heart I took a decision to come back where I belong to my first love.”

Eternal Fire came in top 4 at ESL Pro League Season 16 Conference and will thus be in the upcoming group stage, which kicks off on August 31, right after the player break.

Eternal Fire are now:

Turkey Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli

Turkey Özgür “woxic” Eker
Turkey Ömer “imoRR” Karataş
