Among the various Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bosses that you will have to face, there is also Peter Parker. In fact, at a certain point in the story, you will have to face the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Symbiote Spider-Man boss in order to continue the game. At this point, therefore, you will take the role of Miles and you will have to fight against your friend and mentor. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Peter Parker boss fight

Even though you know the moves that Peter will use in his fight because you played as him, that doesn’t mean that it will be an easy boss fight to face. In fact, the Symbiote will have made its attacks and powers stronger than normal ones, which could put you in difficulty. As if that wasn’t enough, the battle isn’t even that short because it is divided into three different phases. Below we will explain how to deal with all three.

Phase 1

The first thing you need to know regarding this fight is that, as soon as it begins, Symbiote Spider-Man will fill the entire battle arena (the one where you faced Kraven in his second phase) with Symbiote goo. Furthermore, he will try to immediately carry out a Web Strike attack which, however, fortunately, can be easily dodged or parried, the choice is yours on how to proceed in this case.

The most important advice we want to give you is to ensure that the fight remains on the ground, as using the webs to stay in the air is quite useless and would make the fight more difficult, since even Symbiote Spider-Man is capable of make this move. Watch out for a large tendril that Peter can summon as it can deal a lot of damage to you if you’re not careful. In this case, the right thing to do is to block the blow, as it cannot be dodged. Also, keep in mind that if your parry is successful, you will have the opportunity to hit your opponent.

Also, pay attention to the combos that are present in the arsenal of this Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 boss. Peter, in fact, will often make use of these types of attacks to try to put you in difficulty, and then conclude his series of blows with a Crush attack. If the first blows can also be parried, the final one will necessarily have to be dodged, as it is too powerful to even think of being able to parry it. Don’t try it: you will take damage.

Another attack to watch out for is when he will try to use a tendril to grab Miles and throw him into the air. If Symbiote Spider-Man manages to land this attack, he will perform a very dangerous aerial combo. For this reason, the right thing to do in this case is to try to parry this attack, so that you cannot be thrown into the air and suffer Peter’s heat.

Ultimately, for this first phase of the battle, the most effective thing to do is to use the bell located in the center of the room against Symbiote Spider-Man. However, be aware that, once used, Peter will make it unusable for the rest of this first phase of the battle.

Phase 2

Once you have managed to completely empty Symbiote Spider-Man’s first health bar, get ready for the second phase of the battle. Again, after the cutscene, Symbiote Spider-Man will try to grab you with his tendril. Therefore, avoid this attack by dodging towards one of the two sides, so as not to be hit.

In this phase, Pater will also be able to make use of a new attack: the Symbiote Punch which will inflict a lot of damage if successful. Even in this case, the most effective thing to do is to dodge or block the blow so as not to be hit. However, be careful that he is not using the version of this attack that cannot be parried (you will notice this thanks to a symbol on Peter’s head); in this case, you will have to dodge the attack.

Another attack in Peter’s arsenal is where he will start sending a burst of tendrils in every direction. What you will have to do, once again, is dodge this attack. Furthermore, even in this phase, you can make use of the bell which will be available again to stun Symbiote Spider-Man and inflict a large amount of damage on him. Continue using the strategies we have indicated to empty this boss’s health bar again and conclude this second phase.

Phase 3

At this point, the third and final phase of the battle will begin. This phase will see Peter use an electric blast in your direction as soon as the fight begins, so be ready to avoid it. Additionally, Peter will use a Symbiote Strike attack that will turn him into a pile of goo that he will try to pick up and throw at you. Since this is a Crush attack, the only thing you can do is dodge it.

However, in addition to avoiding Symbiote Spider-Man’s moves, remember that you have the bell at your disposal again. Therefore, don’t waste the chance to use it and send Peter into a stun state so he can attack safely. Furthermore, to inflict extra damage on your opponent, try to catch the bombs that he will throw at you so you can send them directly back to the sender.

For the rest, there are no other important things to underline for this phase of the battle. Symbiote Spider-Man, in fact, will use the same moves that he used in the other two phases, with the difference that he will be more aggressive. As a result, you will have to be a little more careful, but still rely on the same strategies. Once his health bar is completely empty, you will have to land the final blow to be able to witness a cutscene in which you will see Peter free himself from this threat that had possessed him.
