Spike Chunsoft has shared a launch trailer for Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, provided details on the first of four DLC titled Ch. Desuhiko: Charisma Killed the Cat, and shared patch notes for a day one version 1.3.0 update.

This substory has players controlling protagonist Desuhiko Thunderbolt, a detective with the Forensic Forte of Disguise. We have more information about it below.

Desuhiko Thunderbolt (Japanese VA: KENN / English VA: Khoi Dao)

A young man with a goofball nature who likes hitting on women under the guise of investigation. Desuhiko’s goal is to become famous as a mystery-solving superstar detective. He carries a huge backpack filled with tools necessary for his disguises.

Forensic Forte: Disguise – In addition to disguising his clothes and face, his voice, height, and weight can also be changed, allowing him to match the target of disguise visually and psychologically.

The Ch. Desuhiko: Charisma Killed the Cat for Master Detective Archives: Rain Code arrives on July 27, 2023. It’ll cost $5. More DLC will follow in August, September, and October.
