MinD_ContRoL issues an apology as Tundra announce standin offlaner for the next two ESL tourneys | GosuGamers

MinD_ContRoL made a lengthy apology to Tundra Esports and his teammates a month after his outburst.

Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov was swapped out of the active roster of Tundra Esports during DreamLeague Season 22.  MinD_ContRoL announced his own removal from the team on X moments before a Tundra Esports match was about to begin. On the same day, he joined Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski’s stream to share his part of the story, and admitted that he gave Tundra’s CEO an ultimatum after he felt mistreated several times.

Following his outburst, Tundra announced a disciplinary investigation and suspended the player indefinitely. They continued their DreamLeague Season 22 run with two players standing in until they got eliminated in the 10th place.

Ahead of a new DreamLeague Season Western Europe qualifiers, which are set to begin on Friday, March 22nd, where Tundra are bound to compete for a spot in the $1,000,000 tournament, the organization announced Tobias “Tobi” Buchner to be standing in until the end of April. That means that the Austrian player will make the trip with Tundra at ESL One Birmingham as well. The LAN event is scheduled to unfold next month, April 22nd to 28th with the playoffs stage hosted at Resorts World Arena. Tundra Esports had already secured a spot at the tournament via regional qualifiers held in January when MinD_ContRoL was still playing with the team.

Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko
Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen
Tobias “Tobi” Buchner (standin)
Naltakyan “9Class” Edgar
Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon

On the same day Tundra announced their stand in offlaner, MinD_ContRoL retracted his words, posting on X that he apologizes to Pure, Moon, Zai and Tundra ”for making it sound like they did something bad to me. I was emotional and said my feelings in the wrong way when I talked to Gorgc.”

“It was bad timing to do an ultimatum. I don’t have issues with anyone in Tundra or the players, there were some misunderstandings and that’s why all of this happened. It’s all chill, I wish the best of luck to Tundra and see you soon,” posted MinD_ContRoL.
