Mod Bench Locations Fortnite - 5 Great Spots + Secret Vaults

Mod Bench Locations Fortnite – 5 Great Spots + Secret Vaults

Where are Mod Bench Locations Fortnite? This is where you can find the Medallion Benches plus the secret keycard Vaults.

Fortnite Chapter 5 is here with quite a few new features. Frustratingly though, one of the biggest is currently locked to just a few spots on the map. If you want to make use of the best C5 weapons, you’ll need to know where the mod bench locations in Fortnite are to actually control your mods. At first glance, it can look like these mods are only located at the POIs with boss characters. While there are other vaults too, they don’t seem to be home to mod benches.

It does seem from the new map that the Fortnite weapon mod bench locations are only with the five medallions, even if there actually more vaults. Fortnite has a number of smaller vaults hidden throughout the map. These won’t always contain a weapon mod bench, but they do provide an alternative to getting some high level loot. If you want to get a 100% chance of actually selecting your FN C5 mods though, heading to one of the mod bench locations Fortnite has is a must.

Since mod benches are only in relatively few places (and Epic has nerfed spawn rates across the board again) it can be tricky to find the mod bench locations Fortnite has each season. We’ll break down where they all are so you can find one every game. We’ll cover where are mod benches in Fortnite and the secret vaults outside of the Medallions POIs.

Where are Mod Benches in Fortnite?

Mod Benches in Fortnite are some of the most fun new features in the C5 S1 update. When you arrive at one, you’ll be able to launch a new menu. This gives you a look at four different parts of your gun. You can add mods to your weapon there. It lets you add a scope, change its stats, and generally personalise the weapon so it is perfectly lined up for how you like to play.

These mods can be vital for getting the most out of a gun. For example, the new Sniper doesn’t come with a scope. If you find one with a close-range scope, it’s basically useless. One without a scope is even worse unless you can make it to the mod bench locations Fortnite has. This makes finding where are mod benches are in Fortnite pretty important to win games of Fortnite.

Where exactly can you find them then? There is only one place, vaults. However, there are two types of vaults. There are the Medallion vaults where you’ll find the biggest array of features, but smaller keycard vaults exist too without a mod bench. This is where you can find the Fortnite weapon mod bench locations. Starting with the simpler ones.

Most of Fortnite Chapter 5’s new features are all centered around a few boss characters. A few of the biggest POIs on the new Fortnite Chapter 5 map are home to roaming boss characters from the C5 S1 Battle Pass. When you take them down, they’ll drop a Mythic but also a medallion. These are passive healing items important to the meta of the game’s current season. However, they also grant you access to that POIs vault.

Head down and into the Vault for the POI and you’ll find the new weapon mod benches. This isn’t the only answer to where are mod benches in Fortnite, but it’s the one with a 100% spawn rate. These spots also contain weapon cases. The guns on the wall around the mod bench aren’t just for decoration. You can pull them off the wall. This essentially means you’re able to take your pick of weapons, and then mod them out with your favorite attachments. Essentially it gives a custom loadout no matter what drops in the vault’s chests.

This is where you can find these locations.

Vaults Without Mod Bench Locations Fortnite Chapter 5

Those are the weapon mod bench locations Fortnite C5 has which have a 100% spawn rate. However, these aren’t the only vaults. The way these mod benches are being handled is often one of the most frustrating parts of the new Chapter (Along with Epic inexplicably nerfing walking after five Chapters). There are only five, you’ll need to hot drop and take down tons of enemies and bosses to get one. However, there are smaller locations which are secondary Vaults without a medallion too.

These are less hotly crowded spots. Some players have claimed these have a chance to spawn a mod bench, but after experimenting with the same spot over 25+ games they don’t seem to contain Fortnite mod bench locations.

These vaults will be active in every game. However, they won’t have a mod bench. Essentially there’s a slot in each of these vaults which has an access terminal where the mod bench is in the other vaults. They also have some tasks to do before you can get in. We’ll cover how to find these secret vaults without Fortnite Mod Bench locations.

How to Get into Key Card Vaults

Getting into a key card Vault will be familiar to past Fortnite Vaults. They work with a key card. You’ll need to land here and take out the handful of henchmen.  While there are quite a few, it’s still a lot less than at the Medallion spots. One of these will drop a key card which opens up a vault! It’s a simpler system than the bosses, but you don’t get a Mythic weapon nor do you get a Medallion. Inside they look the same, but they lack a slot for the mod bench Fortnite locations.

Once you’re inside the vault, you’ll find ammo and rare chests. It can feel like these should be Fortnite weapon mod bench locations. However, at the launch of Chapter 5, these don’t have benches. Just a dead space in the wall where one could fit.

Where are these Vaults? Since there not marked on the map they’re a little harder to find, all being at non-named POIs. Most of the non-named bases which still contain Henchmen are your best bet, so keep an eye out for these spots and you’ll be able to track down the extra vaults. Even if they aren’t full Fortnite mod bench locations.
