Element damage and scaling is one of the most important factors for damage in Monster Hunter games. From elemental weaknesses, synergizing with armor to maximize DPS, this aspect has resulted in numerous try hard hunters calculating their damage output. But how does this mechanic exactly work for Monster Hunter Now?

It appears Monster Hunter Now Element is a strict base number. In essence, the number players see on the element stat is the bonus damage it deals. What does this mean? Unlike the more complex Monster Hunter mainline games, where monsters have various weaknesses, Monster Hunter Now’s monsters only have one weakness.
