MultiVersus: How To Play Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny is a favorite in MultiVersus and as endearing as he was on screen. He is also one of the best characters in the game and has a lot of use with his mage class move set. Some characters have moves that players will never end up using, but Bugs Bunny is one of the few characters where every single one of his moves can be used to create devastating combos or kill an opponent.

If players are looking to learn a character that’s powerful and reliable, then Bugs is the right fit. This guide will cover everything players need to know about bugs bunny’s moves and how to properly play the character.

Here are all of the moves Bugs Bunny has as well as some tips on how players should use them:

Specials

A Safe Investment (Neutral Ground Special)

  •  Bugs Bunny drops a target for a projectile safe to fall a couple of seconds later.
  • The safe can be hit to send it at enemies.
  • When the safe breaks, an item drops and the cooldown begins.
  • This is one of Bugs’ best projectiles as it lingers and does a lot of damage.
    • -To snipe it forward, players can side air attack the safe.
    • -To make it move at a slower pace, players can use their ground side attack.

Safe Painter (Neutral Air Special)

  • Bugs Bunny paints the safe into reality, dropping it quicker.
  • This will be the primary way players want to spawn the safe.

Ain’t I A Charmer? (Side Special)

  • Bugs Bunny blows a kiss at other characters that Charms–Charmed enemies are stunned.
  • Kissing an ally Enrages–Enraged enemies’ next attack will apply stacks of weakened which makes enemies fly back farther.
  • This move can be kind of bad without the perk, so if players want to use it, they should make sure to equip the perk that makes it last longer.

Rocket Rider (Side Air Special)

  • Bugs Bunny spawns a rocket that he and his allies can ride.
  • The move shares a cooldown with the up special.
  • The rocket can be used as an opener.

Special Delive-Rocket (Up Special)

  • He will launch a rocket upward and start the cooldown.
  • The rocket will fall back to the arena later.
  • If the rocket is on cooldown, then Bug Bunny will use his ears to helicopter upward.
  • This move can be used to get early kills.

Bunny Burrow (Down Ground Special)

  • Bugs Bunny will burrow underground and become invulnerable.
  • Soon after, he will shoot up and attack, leaving the tunnels in place.
  • He can exit burrowing sooner by jumping.
  • Allies can teleport through the tunnel by crouching.
  • Projectiles can be hit through the hole and come out the other side.

Bun On The Run (Down Air Special)

  • Bugs dives toward the ground before starting to burrow.

Attacks

Whack-y, Ain’t It? (Neutral Ground Attack)

  • Bugs charges a mallet swing.
  • This move has a huge hitbox that hits in front, above, and behind Bugs.
  • This will be one of Bugs’ primary edge guarding moves.

Helicopter Punch (Neutral Air Attack)

  • He does a spinning punch that hits rapidly.

Why I Oughta! (Side Attack)

  • A spinning combo of punches that breaks Armor–Armor causes enemies to not be able to hit out of the attack they’re making.
  • The last hit is a strong punch, but players will want to cancel out the last punch to continue onto other combos.
  • Bugs charges a kick.
  • This move covers a lot of space in front of it and can be used as an opener.
  • If Bugs needs to retreat, this is a great move to use and back away from opponents.
  • This is a good move for edge guarding when the opponent is flying back to the stage.

 Rabbit Kick (Up Ground Attack)

  • He charges an upward kick.
  • This is a great move to combo into other moves like a neutral air.

Swing Batta Batta! (Up Air Attack)

  • This is a primary kill move as it deals a lot of damage.

Pie Barrage! (Down Ground Attack)

  • If Bugs Bunny has a pie equipped and the input is pressed again, he will throw the pie as a projectile.
  • The pie heals allies it passes through and applies slow to enemies hit.
  • He can throw multiple pies until he runs out of ammo.
  • This is a great projectile as it lingers, can be hit around the map, and doesn’t despawn until it falls off the map or hits an enemy.

Look Out Below! (Down Air Attack)

  • Bugs will throw a pie if it’s equipped.
  • If he does not have a pie he will do a downward mallet swing.
    • -This move is great for ledge guarding.
    • -It also has a hitbox above it.

Tips

Bugs-Bunny Using His Items PassiveBugs-Bunny Using His Items Passive

These extra tips will help players take what they just learned and understand:

  • Bugs Bunny’s passive allows him to crouch and get items.
  • Mr. Meeseeks Box – It can be used as a projectile that can be thrown as much as a player wants without it disappearing.
    • -Doing a neutral attack throws out a Meeseeks that can kill opponents.
    • -Using the neutral attack will make the box disappear after a certain amount of use.
  • Sandwich – Bugs can throw a sandwich that hits for 7 damage and throws a player at an angle.
  • TV – Can spawn one of two different allies.
    • Nectar – This little robot throws pies that do .5 damage when within a certain range of an enemy.
    • Banana Guard – Runs back and forth for 5 seconds and does 7 damage when he hits.
  • Dynamite – Throws dynamite that does about 11 damage.
  • If Bugs Bunny makes a burrow beneath a rocket that he’s launched up and it goes through it, it will launch back up through the other hole and Bugs can summon another rocket causing there to be two rockets on screen.
  • Making a burrow on a rocket and going through it will launch the rocket on an upward trajectory.
  • Bugs bunny has a lot of potential to kill early by using his up air and rocket. Players should use this to their advantage by trying to focus on combos that can get enemies in the air early on.
