Feel like biking your way through sixty metric tonnes of mud? MXGP 2021 has you covered.
Launching today, MXGP 2021 is the official FIM Motocross World Championship game. It invites you to straddle a bike that sounds like an angry wasp and test your motocross metal against a host of other riders, in either single-player or multiplayer mode.
Going by last year’s title, MXGP 2020, this new entry should be fun, though you shouldn’t expect any grand innovations. Reviewing MXGP 2020 we remarked that it was “.. undoubtedly the best looking and playing game in the series yet.” Going by the trailer, MXGP 2021 is even prettier, landing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as well as Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

MXGP 2021 also sports a track editor, which will let you create your own excruciatingly difficulty racetracks. Sure, you could make a course that doesn’t give the riders nightmares, but there’s the fun in that? We don’t know if you can craft one that will actively hurl the bikers into the stratosphere, but there’s no harm (to you) in trying.
If you’re planning on heading down your local game store to grab a copy of MXGP 2021 you’ll get some blank looks when you get there, because it’s not getting a physical release. But if dirt bike racing and/or nightmare tracks are your thing, you can purchase MXGP 2021 digitally, right now, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
