In NBA 2K22 Season 3: Iced Out, MyCareer players on Next Gen finally have a way to play park games on the rooftop thanks to the new City Slam mode.

For those looking to get some rewards in exchange for engaging in 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 competitions, here’s a breakdown of the new City Slam single-player rooftop game mode on NBA 2K22 Next Gen.

As part of the new content for NBA 2K22 Season 3: Iced Out, 2K has added the City Slam mode, which introduces the Meet the Hoopers questline.

For each of the City’s Affiliations, players can engage in five single-player different rooftop parks games to unlock better AI teammates, each complete with their own player ratings and archetypes.

Once players complete all 25 of the Affiliation challenges and convince all of the streetballers to join their team by beating them on their own turf, players will then be able to compete with their custom-built rosters in the final City Slam tournament.

Here, players will compete in a variety of challenges against increasingly elite opponents in exchange for higher-tier rewards, including a championship belt for winning the whole thing.

Overall, the new mode isn’t exactly the park matchmaking system that The Old Gym and the Pro-Am 3v3 modes have offered, but is a pretty solid addition that makes use of the previously vacant rooftop courts.

This should also be a great feature as well for those looking to test out and grind their new builds, or simply rack up the MVP Points for the Penthouse.
