New Dead Cells DLC, Return To Castlevania, Gets Android Release – Droid Gamers

The newest Dead Cells DLC is here. Dead Cells Return To Castlevania has officially hit Android, and The Beheaded gets to team up with a few familiar faces who are old hands at this Metroidvania business.

The new DLC is a hefty one. It has a whole new story, featuring Castlevania mainstays Alucard and Richter Belmont. You’ll explore two new level types, Dracula’s Castle and its surroundings.

Vampires, Werewolves And Death, Oh My!

You won’t be alone in these locations, as the new content brings nine suitably gothic horror monsters to the fray. That’s along with three new bosses, including the big man, Count Dracula.

Dead Cells Return To Castlevania doesn’t just come with things to make you suffer though. There are fourteen brand new weapons to try out, and twenty new outfits with a distinctly Castlevania theme.

This all comes packaged with an extensive new soundtrack, including tracks from the Castlevania series, to help you get into the vampire-hunting mood.

If you’re not already a Dead Cells fanatic, let’s take a moment to fill you in on the game.

What’s All The Fuss About?

Dead Cells is a roguelike Metroidvania, a roguevania if you will, set in an island kingdom in chaos. Twisted creatures roam the halls, and the monarch sits wasting away on the throne.

You take the role of a sentient, and rather defiant ball of slime, capable of climbing onto the bodies of beheaded cadavers and taking the place of their skulls. As the slime, you can puppet a body around and attempt to storm the castle and reach the King. You might not make the trip in one piece.

Fortunately, there’s always a supply of headless bodies in the prison to hop back onto, though the paths may not be the same as how you left them. Such is the life of a roguelike main character.

If this all sounds right up your street, you can check out the Dead Cells Return To Castlevania DLC now via Dead Cells on Google Play.
