NFL Draft Prospects in the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bowl

The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2022 Guaranteed Rate Bowl.

Wisconsin Badgers Draft Prospects

John Torchio, S

Torchio has spent his entire college career at Wisconsin and has developed into a contributor over the last two seasons. In his career, he has 93 total tackles, nine interceptions and six passes defended. This season, he has 51 total tackles, five interceptions and five passes defended.

At 6-foot-1 and 208 pounds, Torchio has solid size for an NFL safety. The most impressive thing about his game is how well he can track the football. His ball skills allow him to make plenty of plays on the ball, then he has shown the ability to score once the ball is in his hands.

Projected Draft Range: Fourth Round Pick-Sixth Round Pick

Chimere Dike, WR

Dike has played three seasons for the Badgers and has improved every year he has been on campus. He has 75 receptions for 1,114 yards and eight touchdowns in his career. For the 2022 season, Dike has 44 catches for 653 yards and six touchdowns.

He stands 6-foot-1 and 199 pounds, which is solid for an NFL receiver. His ability to produce in a run-first offense with average quarterback play means that he could be more productive in a better system. Dike has eligibility left and could return to school and increase his stock.

Projected Draft Range: Undrafted Free Agent

*DL Keeanu Benton has opted out of this bowl game. He is a projected mid-round pick.

*OG/C Joe Tippmann has opted out of this bowl game. He is a projected mid-round pick.

*LB Nick Herbig has opted out of this bowl game. He is a projected mid-round pick.

*OG/C Tyler Beach has opted out of this bowl game. He is a projected late round pick or undrafted free agent.

Oklahoma State Cowboys Draft Prospects

Jason Taylor II, S

After not playing a ton in his first two seasons, Taylor had a breakout season in 2022. In his time as a Cowboy, he has 76 total tackles, two interceptions and four passes defended. This season, Taylor has registered 48 total tackles, two interceptions and four passes defended.

Taylor has the size of an NFL safety at 6-foot and 215 pounds. He took his opportunity and ran with it this season, which has made him a draftable prospect. HIs ability to make tackles and help against the run will help his stock. He still has eligibility remaining and can really rise up draft boards with another good season.

Projected Draft Range: Fifth Round Pick-Seventh Round Pick

Brock Martin, Edge

Martin has been a five-year player for the Cowboys and has been a key player on the defense over the last three seasons. For his career, Martin has 141 total tackles, 37 tackles for loss and 15 sacks. This season, Martin has registered 38 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

He won’t be the longest at 6-foot-3, but he has a good build at 250 pounds. His ability to stop the run is great, but there will be questions about his sack production dipping during the 2022 season. Martin will have a chance to make an NFL roster.

Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent

*EDGE Tyler Lacy has opted out of this bowl game. He is a projected late-round pick.
