PlayStation Plus Free Games For February 2023: Claim 4 Games Now

The latest batch of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers is live now. February’s PS Plus Essential lineup includes OlliOlli World, Evil Dead: The Game, Mafia: Definitive Edition, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light. The new freebies are available to claim until March 6.

February’s lineup is rather unique due to the number of games. Over the past couple of years, the standard has been three games each month. February makes switch back to four freebies, but we wouldn’t expect this to become the norm.

It seems likely that an exception to the rule was made because of the looming launch of Destiny 2: Lightfall, a brand-new major expansion that arrives on February 28. With that in mind, PlayStation is giving away Destiny 2: Beyond Light, an expansion that released in 2020. If you’re new to Destiny 2, you can download the base game for free and then check out Beyond Light to see if you’re interested in picking up other Destiny 2 expansions. Both the PS5 and PS4 versions of Beyond Light will be free.

If you missed out on OlliOlli World when it launched last year, you should definitely give it a try via PlayStation Plus. This side-scrolling skateboarding game has fast-paced action. slick handles, and an eclectic assortment of levels and challenges. It earned a 9/10 in our OlliOlli World review.

Meanwhile, Evil Dead is an online survival-horror game that falls within the steadily growing asymmetric multiplayer genre. It launched last year to generally favorable reviews, so it could be a good fit if you’re searching for a new game to play with friends.

For those who like the open-world vibe but think there’s sometimes too much to do, Mafia: Definitive Edition will be refreshing. A great remake of the 2002 original, Mafia: Definitive Edition takes a streamlined open-world approach, as it solely focuses on story missions scattered across its world.

PlayStation has also announced that the PS Plus Collection will be removed as a subscriber perk on May 9. The PlayStation Plus Collection has given PS5 users access to a library of PS4 hits such as God of War and Bloodborne since the console launched. However, as long as you claim the games on your PS5 before May 9, members will still be able to play the games in the PS Plus Collection.
